PRODUCT CRUSH || ACRYLIC ACCESSORIES

stapler // lamp // organizer // wall calendars // chair // desk

For the last few years I've noticed acrylic sneaking its way into so many different product lines.  Gone are the days of acrylic being considered plain or boring, in fact it is quite the opposite.  I found so many great products and really found it hard to round up my favorites.  I tried to find items that are not only nice to look at but also super functional.  Rather than finding items that take up too much desk I found items that serve a purpose and can fit into any office space.

One item I can't keep my eyes off of is the PB Teen acrylic wall calendar.  I can think of a million uses for it and now I just need to find the perfect spot to hang it.  Something that takes less space planning is this Kate Spade stapler.  Actually Kate Spade has the most amazing desk and stationery line and their spring line just launched.  I think I'll do a post just about it because it's that's pretty.  Before I wrap things up, you have to check out this chair. I love the simplicity and design aspect of it.  It takes acrylic to a whole new level.  And let's not leave out this desk with an acrylic top. I can imagine just how easy it is to wipe clean especially after several cups of coffee later.

Happy shopping!

INSPIRED BY SRPING

As I write this post thinking all things Spring we are under a winter storm warning and expecting 5-9 inches of snow....what!?!  The sunny and 60 degrees weather yesterday was only a tease and got everyone thinking of Spring.  Trying to stay positive I'll continue dreaming and browsing for Spring inspired items to dress up my workspace.

I love adding fun accessories to my home office.  I end up spending a lot of time at my desk and it helps brighten my space and my mood.  Since I need my morning, afternoon, and evening coffee (don't judge...lol) this mug becomes a permanent fixture on my desk. And speaking of my mood, I know this candle will have an instant relaxing affect.  Just the other day I was wondering the mall looking for a new work tote.  I ended up leaving empty handed and immediately started looking online, browsing my favorite brands.  I fell in love with the size and colors of this one plus Kate Spade never disappoints.  Still thinking but I'll probably cave and order it before I change my mind...again!

I need Spring to get here pronto so I can start working in these trendy new pieces into my everyday.

NAVY COLOR CRUSH

If you were to ask me what my favorite color was 10 years ago, navy would never have even crossed my mind.  I may have said turquoise or hot pink, but never navy.  If you were to ask me now, navy is by far my top choice.  It's classy, timeless, and goes with just about any color...so really what's not to love about it.

This post took me twice as long because I had so much fun rounding up all things navy for the workspace.  I'm really digging how the navy accent wall makes a huge statement without overpowering the space.  If you aren't ready to take that kind of bold leap, I found plenty of other ways to incorporate navy. By sharing these items I hope it inspires you to incorporate a little navy, because honestly you won't regret it.  Remember, the best part about adding accessories to your desk is you can switch them out when you're ready for a change or when you find yourself crushing on a new color come summertime.

The possibilities are endless so have some fun with navy.  I'm thinking of working on a preppy/nautical post this summer so stay tuned for more navy but in stripes and seersucker.  Until then check out my Pinterest board for Navy Workspaces.

CREATE AN INSPIRING WORKSPACE

*via PBteen

Having a designated workspace is one thing but to have one that's inspiring is another thing.  Walking into a space that is calming and organized will help clear the mind and allow you to conquer just about anything.  When I came across this office space in the latest PBteen magazine it literally stopped me in my tracks.  The look is very clean, classic and timeless, which is a great combo for any age.  I could get some serious work done in this space.

I also love adding little hints of inspiration around my desk by incorporating fun accessories.  Having a notebook lying out that says "bright ideas" almost makes me want to pause to jot things down.  Lighting a candle while working has almost an instant calming affect. It's in the subtle details that can remind us to keep going, don't give up and give us that little boost of inspiration we need.

BLUSH PINK COLOR CRUSH

In honor of Valentine's last week I couldn't help but crush on all things pink.  Pink is such a fun, bright and happy color but it can also be overpowering if not used correctly, especially in an office.  I like when hot pink accessories are paired with white furniture or when blush pink makes a subtle statement.  What's great about pink is the broad spectrum of color options and the endless colors it can pair with beautifully.  Enjoy the inspiration, products and accessories that make your heart go pitter-patter and help you fall in love with pink all over again.

TOP 5 DESKS FOR YOUR WORKSPACE

1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5

Finding a perfect desk is no joke.  It's not like you can go out and just buy a new desk, try it on at home and return it the next day.  Narrowing down a style, color, storage option and deciding if you want to sit/stand all day play a huge factor.  Since there's so many options it really comes down to your personal space and what you're looking for...style, storage, function...oh my.

To take the leg work out of endless searching here is a starting point.  I found some great options from stores like Target, Anthropologie and even Wayfair.  If these don't hit the mark, click through and do some additional searching.  Browsing and pinning is half the fun.  Check out my Pinterest boards all for Desks.  No matter where you're at in the process of buying a new desk it's still fun to window shop.

1. Writing Desk -  This modern mid-century writing desk is such a great neutral option that can be dressed up or down with gold desk accessories or even a pop of color.

2. Pink Desk - I was skeptical when I first found this desk and thought the pink would be too overpowering but it totally works styled with more white tones.  The best part of this desk is that it also comes in white.

3. Grey Desk - I couldn't help adding in a grey desk not only because I love working with grey but also how classy and simple it looks. Can you believe this desk comes in 12 colors?!?

4. Small Space Desk - Not everyone has a ton of space for a desk and I love that this option is super cute yet small enough for a dorm room or apartment.  It just shows you don't need a huge space to style a cute workspace.

5. Storage Desk - I love the storage and function with the desk.  The things this desk can tuck away in all the drawers is endless.

No matter what style or color you're looking for, one thing is for certain, there isn't a shortage of options.  I really enjoyed browsing for these options and I hope this gives you some needed inspiration and helps narrow down your decision.

XOXO,
Amy

1. Notebook: I love a good notebook and always having one on my desk is a need more than a want.  I'm always making lists, jotting down ideas and planning ahead.  The prettier the better!

2. Gold Pens: I'm always on the hunt for a good pen so to find one that's cute is a bonus.

3. Pen Cup: Every good pen needs a stylish home and this pen cup does not disappoint.  The simple design will make the gold pens the star of the show.

4. File Holders: For some reason I have so many things that accumulate on my desk.  At the end of a work day I like having a place to tidy away the lose papers and folders.  It makes each morning feel like a clean slate.

5. Stapler: Wow, staplers have come along way since the standard black ones from years ago.  Not only are they super functional, they are so pretty too.  Who would've thought a stapler could be so stylish!

I love shopping for office products which explains why I have way too many notebooks and pens.  What is your favorite desk accessory?

Amy
